Hi-

I’m Winter (they/them)

I am an actor, educator, and designer based in Chicago.

Community and authenticity are at the heart of my work as an artist. I believe creating art and sharing personal truths is a gift, but its value is limited if not everyone can participate. Accessible art does more than entertain—it creates meaningful impact.

Through art, both creator and audience can discover truths about themselves and the world around them. The stories we carry within us deserve to be seen and heard.

As a queer and black artist, I value collaborating with other BIPOC and queer creatives. My work is grounded in radical inclusivity and a belief that strong collaboration thrives on trust, community, and the exchange of diverse perspectives. By prioritizing relationships and process over hierarchy and product, I strive to create spaces where ideas can be shared openly and authentically.

I am a graduate of Carthage College, where I earned a B.A. in Music Theatre and an M.M. in Music Theatre Pedagogy. I am always seeking opportunities to create, learn, and collaborate. In addition to acting, I work as a costume designer, educator, and studio artist, bringing the same commitment to connection, accessibility, and community to every aspect of my practice.
